Fitz House Bed & Breakfast - Keswick (Cumbria)

The comfy bed was great, but the room felt cold on arrival.

Well decorated room with neat bathroom and hypoallergenic pillows. Location not far from which was very interesting, the mountains and Derwentwater.

Quaint and beautiful hotel with welcoming customer service. Neat and fully functional units even for a wardrobe. Really helpful, pleasant people working here. Variety of goodies for breakfast. Located 5 minutes' walk of the bus station. Lovely stay, as always.

Room felt cold upon arrival, no heating running despite early check-in. We encountered a large single-glazed window and an ill-fitting door, which really affected the comfort level. Not ideal for a winter stay. The furniture leaned more toward shabby than chic, with a lack of a dressing table and squeaky bed. Towels were hard and in need of replacement.

Stayed at fitz house bed & breakfast for new year's eve and it was fantastic! The host, sophie, was cute and even let us check out late. The location is spot on with everything nearby, no taxis needed. Plus, the mattress was super comfy, perfect for a cozy night's sleep.

Sophie, the host. The Economy Double Room was cozy with a fine view of the mountains from the balcony. The mattress was comfortable, giving me a great night's sleep. I found the room well-equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a nice touch. One downside was the towels. They felt very hard and could use some replacement. The heating in the room was a bit off upon check-in was great, though it eventually warmed up. The location is perfect-everything was a short walk away, and we didn't need to use a taxi once. I genuinely enjoyed my stay, especially the peaceful atmosphere and the unique decor of the house. I would definitely consider returning, especially in warmer months to make better use of the balcony.

Staying at this charming guest house was fantastic for our family. Sophie was accommodating, and we loved the comfy room with a balcony to enjoy our morning coffee while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. It's just a 10-minute walk from Keswick's famous Theatre, perfect for family outings.

My wife says that a larger dining area would be great for families with children.

The unique bohemian design created a lovely homey atmosphere. My room was cozy and well-equipped, with a kettle for evening tea and complimentary Wi-Fi. Sophie, the host, was warm and shared her local knowledge.

Parking can be limited.

Wi-Fi worked great, and the room had a tv. Towels were quite hard.

Sophie, our host, explaining everything we needed to know for our stay. The room was clean and had a cozy vibe. The balcony offered fine views of the mountains. We couldn't have asked for a better location, just a short walk from the town center. The only thing I'd suggest is maybe replacing the towels-they felt a bit hard.

This place has a lot of character and is located perfectly close to shops and restaurants. It's right in the heart of town so you can easily get around 🏞️.

Had a lovely stay! The clean, spacious room had a cozy balcony and a huge, comfy bed. Just wish the breakfast wasn't extra. Otherwise, I'd come again.
